Daphne has a friend at school who has spent the night at our house. Very nice, polite girl. Apparently she and another girl (not so nice) had a "running in" which resulted in Brittni's(the nice one) parents getting a letter from the DA stating their daughter
was having charges pressed against her for assault. What I find bizzare and totally absurd is the fact the other girl's parents nor the school never called Brittni's parent to let them know there was an issue to begin with! Anyway, Daphne somehow got brought into the middle. The SRO called Daphne in to find out from her what happened. She only heard about the incident, did not actually witness anything! SOOOO, a couple of weeks later we get a notice that Daphne is being subpenaed to testify on behalf of Brittni. She has also gotten a subpena from the DA's office. When she got the first letter. I told the officer that I was a scrapbooker and asked if I took take his picture. He just laughed. I'm sure this is the first time he has ever been asked to have his picture taken while serving someone!! :)
